Acer unveiled three new Chromebook laptops at CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2022. These Chromebooks comes with the name of Chromebook Spin 513, Chromebook 315, and Chromebook 314. Moreover, these Acer Chromebooks are designed to perform hybrid work, education and entertainment.
Out of these notebooks, the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is powered by a MediaTek processor. FYI, this Chromebook Spin 513 is the first laptop to come with MediaTek Kompanio 1380 processor. While, the other two Chromebooks get its power from the latest Intel chipset.
Acer Chromebook laptops at CES 2022
The all-new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 laptop features a 13.5-inch display. Whereas, the Chromebook 315 laptop sports a larger 15.6-inch anti-glare Full-HD display. The latest Chromebook Spin 513 comes with the model number CPS513-2H. During the launch at CES 2022, the tech giant confirmed that the latest Chromebook will go live on sale in North America in the month of June. As for the pricing, the Acer Chromebook Spin 513 price starts at USD 599.99 which is roughly Rs 44600. The laptop makers further confirms that the Chromebook will also be made available in European, the Middle Eastern and African region in the month of April. For European countries, the Acer laptop will launch at a starting price of EUR 649 which is roughly Rs 54600. As for the India price and availability, the new Acer Chromebook is yet to be announced.
Chromebook Spin 513: Specifications
As for the specs, the all-new Acer Chromebook Spin 513 comes with a 13.5-inch display. Acer calls this display as the Verti-View display. Under the hood, the latest Acer Chromebook Spin 513 get its power from an octa-core MediaTek Kompanio 1380 processor. This processor comes in pair with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC Storage. Design
The tech giant claims that the latest Chromebook Spin 513 can convert into four different shapes depending on usage. In one of the modes, the Acer Chromebook screen can be bent back such that the laptop device can be used as a tablet while travelling. The all-new Chromebook Spin 513 is a premium laptop with aluminum body. Moreover, this Acer laptop support a military durability standard.
Connectivity
As for the other features, the Acer Chromebook comes with backlit keyboard, a USB Type-C port and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The tech giant is offering a pair of upward-facing speakers on this laptop along with a pair of microphones. The latest notebook also comes with DTS audio support. Similarly for the battery backup, the Chromebook Spin 513 can last for up to 10 hours.
According to reports, the Acer Chromebook laptop comes with a fast charger. However, the company official did not mention about fast charging support at the launch event. The all-new Chromebook 315 laptop comes with the model number CB315-4H/T. During the launch event at CES 2022, the tech giant confirmed that the latest Chromebook will first debut in North America in the latter half of January. Chromebook 315: Specifications
The all-new Chromebook 315 sports a 15.6-inch anti-glare Full-HD display. This Acer Chromebook laptop comes with an optional touchscreen. Moreover, the display comes with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. This Acer laptop gets a keyboard with numeric keypad. Further, this makes the notebook suitable for the emerging hybrid work culture.
Eco-Friendly touchpad on Acer Chromebook
Acer Chromebook 315 features an eco-friendly OceanGlass touchpad. The tech giant claims that the touchpad is design entirely out of recycled plastic waste. The device also features an HDR webcam with a wide field-of-view with flare-reducing technology. According to official reports, this Acer Chromebook is likely to include a dual-core Intel Celeron N4500, a quad-core Intel Celeron N5100 or a Pentium Silver N600. Moreover, these different processor-based variant could offer up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC storage.

The all-new Acer Chromebook 315 comes with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Moreover, it also gets dual USB Type-C port. The Chromebook 315 is likely to offer up to 10 hours of battery life. Regarding the display, the latest Chromebook 314 comes with a 14-inch Full-HD IPS touch screen display along with anti-glare coating. Moreover, the latest Chromebook offers smaller side bezels of 0.32-inch each. The Acer Chromebook 314 also comes with an OceanGlass touchpad. Acer claims that the users can easily navigate through the Chrome OS. This can be done using the optional multi-touch display or the OceanGlass touchpad. For video calls, the latest Chromebook comes with a webcam with temporal noise reduction (TNR) technology. Similarly for connectivity, the Chromebook 314 also gets USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Acer claims that the battery on Chromebook 314 can last for up to 10 hours on a full charge.
