Currently, Apple is testing MagSafe Charging Technology for its new iPad Pro 2022 models. To recall, this MagSafe Charging is a wireless charging system which is based on a magnetic environment.
The Cupertino based tech giant first brought this technology with the iPhone 12. The report further suggests that this new iPad Pro 2022 may also include reverse wireless charging. This will allow the iPad to act as wireless charging point on its own.
Apple iPad Pro 2022 with new design
According to report from 9to5Mac, the Cupertino based tech giant has already developed some prototypes for iPad Pro with bigger Apple logo. Here, the size of Apple logo could be same as the one on the MacBook Pro.
Furthermore, the logo on the iPad Pro prototype is not only larger but it will also feature glass instead of aluminium. This glass back will allow the MagSafe Wireless Charging technology to work more efficiently. It will be much same to how it works on the iPhones. MagSafe Wireless Charging inside Apple Logo
In the prototype, the iPad Pro model will get strong magnets to prevent accidents that may occur while charging. Furthermore, the report suggests that this MagSafe wireless charging on iPad could be even faster than the one on iPhone. Although this glass back is excellent for wireless charging. But it is also more prone to damage. Thus, this glass back makes the newer iPad Pro more fragile.
On the other hand, the aluminum back will make MagSafe charging difficult. Since the glass is more fragile than metal, Apple will have to make decision between durability and fast wireless charging. Apple is still confused about which one to go for. Currently, Apple is offering glass body in the back with iPhone. Keep in mind, the MagSafe Wireless Charging on iPad Pro 2022 will be much slower than wired charging. The report suggests that it is too early to speculate about the development of Apple’s new iPad Pro 2022. This means that these features can be avoided at the final stage. As the things develop, we will share more details about the features and specifications on the upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2022 models.
Larger display and bigger batteries on iPad Pro 2022
Beside this Magsafe Wireless Charging, Apple could also bring new iPad Pro 2022 with bigger batteries. This will be great for users because the Apple Magic Keyboard drains large amount of battery. Furthermore, the new Apple iPad Pro could also get a camera system similar to the one present on the iPhone 13. The latest iPad Pro 2022 could also get a new chipset. Additionally, there are chances of existence of a bigger model with larger display. The all-new Apple iPad Pro 2022 display size could be even larger than 12.9-inch. Some wild rumour also suggested that the Cupertino based tech giant could also bring notched display on this year’s iPad Pro. This notch on the display could make the iPad Pro look more like other Apple products.
Although, it sounds experimental at this point. There are very little chance that these features like MagSafe wireless charging, bigger batteries, larger display and others will make it on iPad Pro this year. Also Read – Xiaomi 12 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 launched in India; first impressions
Apple iPod Mini in the making
In another report, the company is also planning to bring iPod Mini with narrow screen border. The Cupertino based tech giant could also remove the home button from the Mini variant of iPad. To recall, Apple last made changes in the iPad Mini in 2019. In 2019 model, the iPad Mini comes with an A12 Bionic chipset. Furthermore, it also comes with first-generation Apple Pencil support.
Unlike other models, the Mini variant gets thick bezels on the display. In new generation iPad Pro and iPad Mini, Apple could also bring the thinner version called an entry-level iPad for students. However, it remains unknown if this entry-level iPad will support Magsafe Wireless charging. Also Read – Realme MagDart Wireless Charging mobile phone to launch soon in India
