The Taiwanese tech giant, Asus is all set to launch its Asus ZenFone 8 series on May 12. This will the company’s second launch event after ROG Phone 5 launch in this year. There has been numerous leaks and rumors about the upcoming smartphone line up. The recent leak reveals the official design render of the ZenFone 8 series. The official render images of Asus ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip has been already leak before the official launch event. Both of these smartphone comes with varying set of specifications.
According to details from leaked renders, The Asus ZenFone 8 Flip is likely to be the non-gaming flagship smartphone. It will feature a flip camera arrangement. To recall, the same camera arrangement was last seen in ZenFone 7 series. Whereas, the new model of ZenFone 8 will feature a conventional camera arrangement. The smartphone which was assumed to be ZenFone 8 Mini has now been named as ZenFone 8. As the company seems to have dropped the Mini moniker. The leaked renders has been share by 91Mobiles. Asus ZenFone 8 Flip: Leaked Renders
As per leaked renders, the Asus ZenFone8 Flip could be the more expensive smartphone out of the two. The smartphone retains the complex flip camera mechanism. The flip camera mechanism has been seen from last two years. The flip camera arrangement helps in making the full screen display experience with no interruptions. Regarding specs, the ZenFone 8 Flip will support a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display along with 90Hz refresh rate. Also, The rear end of the smartphone appears to be unchanged based on the renders. The smartphone will feature same rear design as the older model.
For cameras, the smartphone will feature a 64-MP triple camera system. This may include a 64-MP primary camera sensor, an 8-MP sensor for ultra-wide camera and 12-MP macro lens. Also, The same camera setup will act as front camera for taking selfies. The ZenFone 8 Flip may feature a Qualcomm’s premium flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. This chip comes in pair with up to 8GB RAM/ 256GB of internal storage. Also, The smartphone relies on 5000mAh battery along with 30W fast charging solution.
Asus ZenFone 8: Leaked Renders
The vanilla variant of ZenFone 8 could support a 5.9-inch 1080p display. This display features a punch-hole cutout for camera. Due to absence of Flip camera, the all new Asus ZenFone 8 comes with a new set of rear camera. But this camera setup does not seems to be any different from Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei or any other Android smartphone. The device features a rectangular camera module which features a dual-camera system inside.
The internal specification of ZenFone 8 is similar to ZenFone 8 Flip. However, the ZenFone 8 will feature a smaller capacity battery of 4000mAh. Whereas, the ZenFone 8 Flip features a battery of 5000mAh capacity. The ZenFone 8 gets its power from 30W fast charging system. Regarding storage configuration, the smartphone features up to 8GB RAM/ 256GB of internal storage. The camera system in ZenFone 8 does not feature any ultra-wide sensor.
