Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new prepaid plan of Rs 197. This new Rs 197 prepaid plan will join the existing list of BSNL prepaid plans in India. With the introduction of new plan, the government owned telecom operator has also discontinued some of the old plans. BSNL Rs 197 prepaid plan
The all new Rs 197 prepaid plan from BSNL provides peoples with 2GB of free data per day. If the data limit exceeds in a day, then even users will be able to access internet at a reduced speeds of 80kbps. This new plan also includes free voice calling, free 100 SMS per day. Additionally, this plan provides free access to music app, Zing. However, the free goodies are available for 18 days only. This Rs 197 prepaid plan comes with a usage validity of 180 days which is six months. During this validity, the BSNL number will remain active.
This new prepaid plan will join the Rs 249 and Rs 298 prepaid plans. Both of these pre existing plans offer 1GB of data per day, free unlimited voice calling, and additional 100 SMS per day. The only exception from new plan is that, the Rs 298 prepaid plan come with free Eros Now subscription. This Rs298 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 56 days. On the other hand, Rs 249 plan comes with a validity of 60 days.
BSNL withdrawn 4 existing plans
Beside launching new plans, BSNL has also discontinued some of its existing prepaid plans. As per official reports, the telecom operator has withdrawn the Rs 49 plan, the Rs 109 plan, the Rs 998 plan and Rs 1,098 prepaid plans. Users with any of these plans will be able to use them until the validity expires. However, after validity expiry, the users have to switch to another plan.
BSNL increases price of a prepaid plan
Additionally, the pricing for BSNL Rs 365 prepaid plan has been increased. The same plan will now be offered at a price of Rs 397. However, with the increment of Rs 2, the plan will continue to provide same benefits. To recall, this plan offers 2GB of dats per day, 100 SMS per day. Additionally, this plan allows users to access free Personalized Ring Back Tone (PRBT). This plan comes with a freebie usage validity of 60 days. However, the actual validity of this plan is 365 days.
