Along with Galaxy A52, Samsung has launched another new mid-range smartphone. This smartphone is called Samsung Galaxy A72. Both Samsung phones launches globally earlier this week. This all new smartphone comes with key highlights including a 6.7-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, 64-MP quad-rear camera setup, upto 8GB RAM and much more. The Samsung Galaxy A72 launches along side Galaxy A52 at Samsung’s unpacked event. Also, the device is available with 4G connectivity only.
Galaxy A72: Price
The pricing for the latest Galaxy A72 starts at EUR 449 which is approximately Rs 38800. The device comes in four color options including Awesome Violet, Awesome Blue, Awesome Black and Awesome White. Galaxy A72: Specs
Samsung’s latest smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display along with 90Hz refresh rate. Dimension wise, the Galaxy A72 is larger than A52. However, the bigger size does not adds much extra to its weight. The smartphone is power by an octa-core processor. This processor comes with 2*2.3Ghz + 6*1.8Ghz configuration. The chipset is coupled with upto 8GB RAM/ 256GB of native storage.
According to reports, the latest smartphone will support same Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G similar to Galaxy A52. The internal storage is expandable and can be expanded via 1TB of microSD card. For cameras, The device comes with a 64-MP quad rear camera system. These camera sensor includes 64-MP primary sensor paired with a 12-MP ultra wide angle lens, a 5-MP macro lens and an 8-MP telephoto lens. For selfies, the device comes with a 32-MP snapper housing inside punch-hole cutout.
Galaxy A72 runs on Samsung’s custom UI, One UI 3 on top of Android 11 OS out of the box. The smartphone packs in a 5000mAh battery which comes with 25W fast charging support. Additionally, the smartphone comes with IP67 dust and water resistance rating. The device also supports MST, which allow Samsung Pay to work with NFC incompatible machines. Other features may include a High Brightness Mode.
For security, the device features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the device also offers face unlock via front camera system. Other connectivity options will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS etc. Even though Samsung brought the A52 5G along side these models, the 5G model isn’t coming to the Indian market.
