Samsung officially unwraps the Galaxy series Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic at the Galaxy Unpacked Event on Wednesday. The latest Samsung Galaxy smartwatch series launched alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable phones. The Samsung Galaxy smartwatches are the first devices to run on the latest Wear OS.
To recall, Google unveiled this Wear OS at the Google I/O Event in May. Google designed this latest Wear OS in collaboration with Samsung. The latest operating system for the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic comes with Samsung’s latest One UI custom skin. Meanwhile, the Samsung Classic smartwatch retains the traditional design with rotating bezels. These bezels were offered by Samsung in earlier versions of the Galaxy Watches. Whereas, the vanilla variant of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 comes with a regular bezel design. A similar design was launched and seen on the Galaxy Watch Active 2 in 2019.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4: Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 price starts at USD 249.99, which is approximately Rs 18600. The Galaxy Watch 4 with a Bluetooth-only variant is priced at USD 249.99. Whereas the LTE model comes with a price tag of USD 299.99, which is approximately Rs 22300. The Samsung Watch 4 comes with an all-aluminum build. It comes with 40mm and 44mm dial sizes. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 with a 40mm dial comes in four color options. These colors include the black, pink, gold, and silver colors. Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic: Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic price starts at USD 349.99, which is approximately Rs 26000. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with Bluetooth-only variant is priced at USD 349.99. Whereas, the LTE model comes with a price tag of USD 399.99, which is approximately Rs 29700. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic comes with a stainless steel build. It comes with 42mm and 46mm dial sizes.
Both the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 42mm and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with a 46mm dial come in two color options. These colors include the black and silver colors. Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic: Specs
The all-new Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic run on Samsung’s own One UI v3, which is based on the latest Wear OS from Google. Both the 40mm variant of Galaxy Watch 4 and the 42mm variant of Galaxy Watch 4 Classic come with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display. This display gets a screen resolution of 396×396 pixels.

Galaxy Watch with Exynos chipset
In these models, the display gets protection from the latest Gorilla Glass DX protection. Samsung uses its wearable-focused Exynos 920 chipset on these smartwatches. This chipset comes in a pair with 1.5GB of RAM along with 16GB of onboard storage. Both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 models come with Samsung’s own proprietary BioActive Sensor. It will enable all the optical heart rate sensor (PPG), electrical heart rate sensor, and a bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor (BIA). Thus, allowing users to keep track of the range of fitness and health-related features.
These features include heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, and sleep analysis. Additionally, the Samsung Watch 4 series also comes with electrocardiogram (ECG) support. Regarding connectivity, Samsung is also offering all the necessary connectivity options. These include 4G LTE (optional), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/Glonass/Beidou/Galileo, and NFC. Additionally, these Galaxy Watches are also designed in such a way that they can work with Samsung Pay and Google Pay services.
