Meanwhile, other changes to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fold phone are unknown. In other Samsung news, popular tipster @TheGalox_ suggests that Samsung could be using a single-hinge design on the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4. This design will make the smartphone look bit thinner. At the same time, Android Police also reported that the upcoming Samsung foldable smartphone could get an integrated S-Pen. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 also gets S-Pen support. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: Newer chipset

The South Korean tech giant has heard many negatives about the thermals of the Samsung Galaxy S22, even though the smartphone packs in some top-notch hardware to prevent throttling. The latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a lot less power efficient than on paper based on daily usage. Since the chipset is not that efficient, the battery life is also a major concern.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 could not have much room for a bigger battery with such a design. Therefore, a new chipset could be the only solution. According to leaks from Ice Universe, the South Korean tech giant may use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

This processor will be more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Samsung’s sole remaining option for improving power efficiency is to switch chipsets. However, it will not cause any change for the customers in Europe and India. The customers in Europe and India will have to stick with the Exynos chipset on Galaxy Z Fold 4.

For Europe and India Samsung Fans, we have to wait and watch if Samsung will design a new chip or reuse the same Exynos 2200 chipset launched earlier this year. Other specs changes to the upcoming foldable phone are unknown.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 to get Galaxy S22 lineup camera

Popular leaker Dohyun Kim claims that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 could use the similar camera unit present on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable smartphone will use a 108MP main camera. In addition, the Galaxy Foldable phone will use the 10MP 3x telephoto lens. This telephoto lens debuted with the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+.

Meanwhile, there is no information about the phone’s ultra-wide camera. However, changes in the ultra-wide camera are pretty substantial. Galaxy Z Fold 3 model used a 12MP main camera unit and a 10MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The report suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be equipped with a 3x telephoto lens.
