OnePlus is likely to launch its flagship OnePlus 9 series in March. This series could feature three phones including the OnePlus 9E or 9R.

OnePlus is ready to launch it’s upcoming flagship OnePlus 9 series next month. However, the company is yet to reveal the official launch date of OnePlus 9 series. According to reports, the Chinese smartphone manufacturers are planning to launch three models under OnePlus 9 series. The OnePlus 9 series is likely to compromise of three models including OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9 Pro, and another model rumor to be OnePlus 9R.

OnePlus 9 Series: Rumors and Leaks

According to leaks, OnePlus 9R is likely to be the third member in OnePlus 9 series. Earlier, The third device was leak as OnePlus 9 Lite or OnePlus 9E. But as per recent reports, the device is likely to be called OnePlus 9R. These new leaks came from the renounced tipster, Evan Blass.

In this report, Blass confirms that the third phone in the lineup is likely to be the OnePlus 9R. He also share one of the image, spotting the name of the handset in the source code. OnePlus 9R: The Third Member

Evan Blass took on micro-blogging website Twitter, confirming that the third device in OnePlus 9 series is likely to be OnePlus 9R. He also tweeted and said, “Goodbye, OnePlus 9E/SE/Lite”. However, currently there is no information on what does this R stands for. But, According to Blass, this handset is likely to be cheapest among the three model under OnePlus 9 series.

Previously, a report from Android Central reveals that a OnePlus phone is likely to be power by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. However, the other two phones in this OnePlus 9 series are likely to running on Snapdragon 888 SoC. The phones could be OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. To recall, The just launch Redmi K40 Pro is also power by Snapdragon 888 chipset.

OnePlus 9R: Expected Specs

This affordable variant in OnePlus 9 series is likely to be power by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 690 chipset. The handset is likely to feature a 6.5-inch display along with 90Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 9R is likely to pack 8GB RAM/ 128GB of internal storage. The device may feature a Dual-rear camera setup. The camera setup is likely to feature a 64-MP primary sensor and an 8-MP ultra-wide sensor. The handset is likely to get its power from a 5000mAh battery along with fast-charging support.

OnePlus 9 Pro: Expected Specs

The OnePlus 9 Pro is likely to be the most premium model under OnePlus 9 series. This variant is expected to feature an AMOLED display with 120Hz of refresh rate. The device is likely to be power by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. This premium chipset is likely to paired with 8GB RAM/ 128GB of internal storage.

The device is likely to feature a Triple-rear camera setup. The triple camera setup includes a 48-MP primary sensor along with 64-MP ultra-wide lens. The third camera features a telephoto lens with 3.3x zoom. According to previous reports, OnePlus has reportedly joined hands with Swedish photography equipment brand Hasselblad for cameras. The device is likely to packs in a 4500mAh battery with fast charging support.

OnePlus 9 Series: Launch Date

The Chinese smartphone manufacturers are yet to reveal the launch date for OnePlus 9 series. However, as per rumors, this series consisting of three smartphones is likely to launch in March end. However, the handset will be official released in the month of April.
